Think I nearly got ripped off on this extractor fan replacement - anyone know 'plug in' type?

Presumably the electrician intends to replace the unit with a more inexpensive one, though?
I think the last one I did cost me around £35. It wasn't great quality, but I just wanted to do a like for like swap and fix properly when we refurb that shower room in a year or two.0 -

Yes, the OP has a choice which way to go there. Think I would go with the direct replacement. The existing installation is designed for it and it appears to be a true commercial quality centrifugal fan that should work better than a cheaper axial, and hopefully outlast a few of them, too.0 -
What's the point of this thread? OP got a quote, discovered they can do it themselves so don't need to pay someone to do it. Oh, and they expect people to work for nothing.0
