NEWBIES - HOW TO UPLOAD LINKS TO PHOTOS/SCANS TO MSE
To upload a photo/scan link, you first need to host it on a free photo hosting site (like Dropbox, Imurg or Tinypic), copy the URL, paste it here, but change the http to hxxp and we'll do the conversion. Newbies can't directly upload links to photos/scans until they've a few posts under their belt.
Ralph:cool:
Great tip Ralph, cheers!
Here's the first and only sign that appears and its about 80% of the way down the road in question (and I never drove close to or even beyond it).

Trust me I have gone back and checked - it is the first and only sign on this road so I believe I am justified in thinking it applies only to the land beyond it. And that's assuming one can even read it from the distance I was at!
I have written to my MP as advised earlier in this thread.0 -

If you have failed to update your address on your V5C then you could face a DVLA fine of up to £1000, ditto with your driving licence too
In which case I would not be using that as a reason for non-delivery to your present address
They are obliged to use the DVLA address, even if it's incorrect
Make sure you fix your own problems before complaining about other people's problems1 -

The PCN was issued during the time my amended V5C was with the DVLA. In fact I got my new V5C the day after I collected the PCN from my old address.0 -
UPDATE
I contacted my local MP who in turn contacted ES Parking Enforcement. ES responded to them with the following:
"On review the evidence is that the vehicle was parked in no stopping area on double yellow lines with 'double blips' on the pavement
adjacent to a busy pedestrian crossing for approximately 5 mins prior to a passenger alighting the vehicle. The measures undertaken
to control traffic/parking in this area of Manchester are to enhance the security along with health&safety in a vibrant legal, business
and social environment. The signs are there to warn drivers of the consequences of parking along with the lines which are the lines
which are indicative of these controls. We therefore advise you that the PCN stands."
They have again failed to address the issue of absent signage and are insisting that sufficient signage was in place.
I am still waiting for debt recovery letters to arrive but have yet to receive any.0 -
The site in your photo is familiar to me and I've never been to Manchester in my life! Search the forum for the name of the place, it's a cash cow.
What is the name of it again? You need to read threads about it on here and pepipoo.
No-one appeals to the IAS. Save your breath for court stage. Honestly!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Gartside Road in the Spinningfields estate.
I have resigned myself to await the court date at which point some serious study of this forum will be a daily bedtime routine!0 -
UPDATE
County Court claim paperwork received, need to submit my defence.
Two things
1) The claim was sent to my old address - is this grounds enough to ignore completely?
2) How much do I give away in my brief defence? I have video evidence to support the fact there is no signage. Should I mention this or keep it quiet?
All assistance most welcome0 -
