Extra Leg room seat rip off on TUI

I'm flying long haul on the Dreamliner shortly, having done so twice before. However, apart from the exit row seats I can't see from the seating plan with Royal Brunei which seats give you extra leg room. I haven't booked my flight yet...
Please think what they could ultimately be doing with your money before booking https://www.hrw.org/news/2019/04/03/brunei-new-penal-code-imposes-maiming-stoning
Happy to help you find a good fare on a different airline with good leg room.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
The Dreamliner is a great aircraft for long haul and with extra legroom you’ll have a great flight, 9 hours isn’t too long, enjoy your holiday.
Just done Mexico and back with TUI extra legroom and if we did it again I'd go premium, having done premium last year to Kos the seats are far more comfortable and there is nice space between you and the seat next door especially as we are on the larger size. That said the Mexico flights weren't unbearable.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
I always assume when I fly on a plane that there are at least two people sitting in front of me, preferably with the ability to pilot the plane
You obviously have not seen many 'Air Crash Investigations' episodes then. Or did you mean, just to fly the plane (not sensibly or safely?).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
So I booked extra leg room seats for my 9hr flight with TUI on their dreamliner at a cost of £220 only to find out that the only thing we get is an extra 2 inches in seat space in front of us!!!!!
Apparently it's my fault that I should've noticed the difference between extra seat space and extra leg room. I've tried complaining but they won't entertain a refund and the flight is full so they won't move me either.
Anyone have any knowledge of this and whether it's worth complaining about or should we just swallow it? They argue that it's in their T&C's but my complaint is that it's not clear what you get and that a reasonable person would assume extra leg room means you don't have anyone sitting in front of you.
fuming
There are very to easy to read and understand explanations of what you get right next to the button you check to select them, extra legroom is as it states, 2" extra legroom, Extra space seats are bulkhead and emergency exit rows, which will give you even more legroom, I personally can't see the difficulty and it seems to me it is your fault for not reading the explanations which would've been right in front of you when you booked.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
For anybody travelling (especially for long flights) who gets swollen ankles - I'd recommend one of these. I've done two long haul return trips using one and it made all the difference. https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Portable-COOWOO-Relaxation-Comfortable-Adjustable/dp/B07BDPZWXK/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=leg+support+for+flying&qid=1566030664&s=gateway&sr=8-10

Because they hang off the arms of the seatback table. Lots of airlines have banned anything that is attached via any fixtures or fittings because they can cause damage. Plus they can affect the passenger in front.
Often asked question on TA. This is just one of many threads.

Perhaps I've just been lucky with the airline I've travelled with.0 -

I think maybe you have been lucky.
I've also read the threads on TA Air Travel board about these.
Maybe you could say which airlines allowed you to use it.
Back on topic:
this looks like yet another thread proclaiming 'rip-off' when it's nothing of the sort.0
