  • I assume you have both never met, so queue up behind your wife and both pretend your not with each other,

When he asks her again, pipe up and very loudly say "..why would you possibly need my wife's phone number",

Your partner is an adult so if the situation bothers her then she should be the one to complain - not you giving them second hand information.
    This ^^^^

Your partner - that's a tea and a juice please.
Shop assistant - that's free, repay me by going out with me
Your partner - I'd like to speak to your manager/supervisor now please.

    Problem solved.
If she's been agreeing to the freebies, she's really not been doing herself any favours here.

    And ^^^^

    How hard can it be?

Your partner needs to put on her big girl pants and deal with the situation herself.
  • I think your wife secretly enjoys the advances and the attention (and the free food/drink)
Otherwise she wouldn’t keep going there.

Next post from OP will be “my wife left me for the Tesco cafe worker, what shall I do”

    Cool story bro

The answer to that is easy - offer her free food.
I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!

Assuming this is true the bloke in the cafe is on the way to being dismissed; I know people have lost their jobs in the past when using staff discount like it's going out of fashion for friends/family.

I doubt he would've been the only person behind the counter so if he'd have refused her money she could've paid with someone else...

Tesco cafes aren't run by Tesco. It's outsourced so it's not a Tesco staff issue.

Think they are run by Eurest Catering, your partner needs to contact them to complain.

Unless, she is hoping this will prompt a proposal or if engaged already a wedding date being set.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

I join those who doubt the veracity of this tale.
