That’s the email I got from GB energy. 1662kwh.

    £35 being high or low?

I thought you said you were with the Co-op?

What does the CEC indicate for that supplier & tariff?

You DD is £43 at the moment not £35

For the summer quarter you gave you bill was £119 and you had credit of £129 ie you you are marginally in credit. For this period in time you should be way over paying to build up a big credit ready for winter.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • Robin,

Is it worth switching to Yorkshire energy?

    Many thanks

This says, based on your current tariff, you would be charged:
    £373 pa for gas
    £480 pa for electric

I make that a total of £853 pa
(so you should be paying on average £71pcm, ignoring any credit you have accrued on your account)

You can save £175 pa moving to an alternative tariff

    So that would be £683pa

What would you prefer to pay? £683pa or £629pa?

Essentially you are not paying enough to cover your annual useage and will be in debit by the end of the winter.

    You don't really need to.

Payments by direct debit are simply added to your account as you see to assist paying your bill. You will still end up paying what you are billed.

If you are going to spend £853 pa, on energy, and pay £71pcm, that will hopefully cover your bill.
If you only pay £43 pcm, then you will only credit £516 to your account to put towards the £853 annual bill, leaving you a shortfall of £337 still to pay.
  • So Yorkshire is definitely the best.
