None for purchases. Though should not be used for ATM withdrawals. Always choose to pay in the local currency.

Ive used Select CC abroad and incurred no fees. However, their debit card does charge a transaction fee, so avoid that.

As another person said no charge for purchase and they will apply Visa Exchange rate given you pay in local currency (No corversion)

But If you use your Select Credit Card for cash withdrawals overseas, you’ll be charged interest at “cash rates” plus a fee of 2.5% (min. £3) every time you withdraw cash.

    It is explained here

    https://www.nationwide.co.uk/products/credit-cards/select/managing-your-card#tab:tab2

So to summarise, use it for purchase but avoid using it for cash withdrawal.

We use our Nationwide Select card for everything when abroad. No charges.

Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)
  • There are also other credit cards that incur no fees abroad when used to settle purchases of goods and services.
