BPA no longer accepting complaints by email

After spending many years assisting the BPA to raise standards within the private parking sector by sending complaints about AOS operators by email to aos@britishparking.co.uk, we have just received an email from the BPA telling us that complaints must now be submitted using the BPA's AOS enquiry/complaint form https://portal.britishparking.co.uk/compliance/LogComplaint and that new complaints submitted via email will not be reviewed.
The online form requires the complainant to tick a box confirming that:
"I understand, in making this application, that I am giving consent for the BPA to hold my personal data on its computer database. This information may be accessed, retrieved and used by the BPA and its associates for normal administrative purposes and my data may be managed by a third party in the capacity of a list processor only. The data owner will at all times be the BPA. For more information about the BPA’s privacy policy".
Hmmmm..... I'm not sure I want to agree to giving unnamed "associates" of the BPA access to my personal data.
This requirement also seems to be at odds with the BPA's Data Privacy Policy regarding information held about members of the general public.
"If you contact us with a concern regarding a member of the Association, we may use any of the details you supply us, for the purposes of our investigation. This may involve contacting you for clarification or further information and sharing the details of your complaint with the member to give them an opportunity to comment If we believe or if you specify at the point of contact that details shared with us are of a confidential nature and these are material to our investigation, these will not be shared by us with the member without seeking your prior permission. Our lawful basis will be our legitimate interest in promoting high standards in the parking industry and your consent for an investigation to be instigated".
