If you are competent to do basic DIY electrics...

You would need a plug, a bit of flex of the correct rating to match the appliance (hint: look carefully at the existing flex - it's probably marked with the cable size in square millimetres), and an inline flex coupler.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

+1 for Shaun & Whitegoods advice - there's probably a number of good (yet admittedly annoying) reasons why the flex is quite short. It's going to be 16A cable for a start which is a !!!!!! to wire safely & neatly without any experience.

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?

There's a reason why these cables - like those on kettles are short.

It follows a safety campaign on the Watchdog TV programme. That campaign led to manufacturers selling kettles with shorter leads. Cables had previously been long and would often hang down over the edge of kitchen cabinets, within reach of small children who would pull them and risk being scalded by hot water.

Find a place where you can plug your fryer in permanently and don't change the lead or use an extension.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    What do you find difficult?

I was referring to the OP (sorry OP if that's a poor assessment on my part)...
Over 30 years in the music industry and I've seen some horrific plug wiring from self proclaimed experts

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?
