Just a quick question...Shill bidding(again)

Hey guys,
i just won an auction on 20 o2 simcards but i feel that the bidder before me was shill bidding what do you all think?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6401209232
The bidder before me seems like a shill. what do you think? and also do you think i should say anything to the seller or demand some money off? the postage charge also seems very high (seeing as though i know it costs £5.40 to send these) however at that price i was happy but still shill bidding annoys me.
any thoughts...

Hmmm, shill bidding (if done well) is very hard to prove.
If you check the bids the suspected shill bidder has made, in the last 30 days, it would look like shilling to me

As to the postage cost, it was there when you bid, high it may be, but you agreed to it by bidding.
I would email the guy and voice your concerns that you suspect foul play and you are thinking of asking eBay to investigate and see what he says
Still doesn't sound like too bad a price overall for 20 sim cards?

I dunno on that one, but 62raj is a keen bidder on this persons auctions!!!!
Look through bid history on the last couple of items sold, go to his feedback and click on items then look through the bid history!!! Deffo got some shill bidding!!!

Thanks for your reply,
Yes it is a good buy and i bought it because i did agree to the postage costs(if extremely inflated) the reason i know its shill bidding is because if someone wants to win an auction they dont bid £29.99 unless they are really really stupid.
I'm certain its shill bidding, i might say something to the ebayer, but might just leave it and get on with it, i dont want to risk negative feedback now.

Given that most users of this forum KNOW that the O2 sims will have been obtained FREE OF CHARGE (see several threads on this site), why ON EARTH are you bidding on them anyway???
O2 regularly offer packs of 5-6 sims FREE OF CHARGE.
Where do yout think this seller's cards have come from?????
*I've got about 50 on my desk in the jiffy bags they were sent in!!!
(*Before you ask, I don't sell these on eBay - we actually use these on our construction sites for safety quiz prizes and use in temporary and emergency phones - very handy! I have a stock of O2, Orange and Vodafone cards to suit where the sites are.)British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
