Has anyone been to Croatia recently and have advice on the cheapest way to get Kunas? I’ve heard that the best rate is to just withdraw money from ATMs in the country - has anybody done this?
Any advice would be welcome!!

Always pay in local currency, not pounds, if a payment terminal offers the choice, and always decline 'Conversion' by an ATM if a screen presents an exchange rate for pounds.Evolution, not revolution0 -
I’ve rarely seen as many ATMs in a small town as I have in Dubrovnik old town. They are everywhere! The Croatians are embracing tourism and obviously want to make it as easy a possible for tourists to spend!
As dicky said, you’ll get the best exchange rate at an ATM, but it depends on your bank’s fees/loading as to whether that will translate into the most amount of Kunas in your pocket.0
