I submitted my answers a week ago, to the questions the adjudicator sent via Email, but no more questions and BR hasn't been approved yet. The longer I wait the more I worry but I'm still hopefully it will go through, otherwise I don't know what I will do! Hope you guys are waiting it out calmly xx

I'm about six months in after I lost my business.

Process was quick, interview a couple of weeks later, a few weeks after that the adjudicator questionnaire came through, I responded and had some further questions a couple of weeks later. I answered a few weeks ago.

First couple of months were rough but definitely right thing to do. Longer term for the best and will allow me to get my life back on track.

Am working self employed part time. May go full time after the year is up.

Personally have found the OR fine to deal with. I have had a small number of people who have taken the opportunity to try and kick me when I'm down but in the main most have been good and kind. If anything has put some of my faith back into human nature.

Bankruptcy is not something to be taken lightly but to those who are thinking about it if there is really no hope of getting out of the crap you are in do it. It is better than what you are going through now and the sooner it's done the sooner you can start getting your life in order. A cliche but more a new beginning than the end.

My interview is only on the 28th of August which seems like a lifetime away at the moment. Most of the time I am ok and then i will get a wave of anxiousness, but I do suffer from anxiety and overthinking haha! Me and my husband were in a partnership so got a feeling it will be a bit more complex, but I will update as I go along!

Hope all goes well on Wednesday :)

I'm glad to hear you are happy with the process and that your OR is fine to deal with.
I'm sorry to hear people have tried to kick you when you're down - was that within the BR process or people in 'everyday life'?

Yes I'm looking forward to getting life in order as you say, I waited too long before looking for help and although I'm only at the start of the process (waiting to be approved) I know it's for the best long term.

As I had a business people lost their jobs, creditors were unpaid and customers were nervous.

Most employees accepted position and were fine, no secret we had been struggling the last few years. Few former employees put boot in a bit although more a reflection on them really. A few creditors but most again accepted it and some were very supportive. Same with customers. Administrators just weren't very good and difficult to deal with.

Without going into the full background anyone that knew us knew we had been dealt a rough deal and had done everything we could on every level to keep things going but in the end got swallowed up mainly by historical debt and falling revenues.

People in everyday life have been ok. Lots of questions as you would expect.

We all try and hang on as long as we can so don't beat yourself up about waiting too long. Deal with what you have to now and then concentrate on the future.

Thanks for sharing this. I am self employed although work through a LTD company.

The company has no debts or assets. It's all personal debt.

I'm currently making the debt repayments each month, but if all of the credit cards end up on 20+% APR I will be done for!

I don't think I could go bankrupt as we rent so need to be able to pass a credit check.

    Good luck!
  • Is there a list of email addresses for some creditors available to share do you know?
    Thanks

Sorry, I disagree, I assume you refer to lost wages or HMRC contributions you didnt pay? Employees are little people with families and deserve thier money above banks and creditors really..
