Deleted GBoard from mobile, how to restore?
My wife's Moto mobile was short on space, so by agreement I deleted several apps and bits and pieces that she mainly hadn't used for over a year. This included GBoard.
Of course, she needs GBoard or other keyboard to enter info, send messages, etc. I have tried to restore GBoard via Play Store and searching for advice. Each time, we're required to enter info such as a password, for which we need a keyboard - Catch 22!
Can an MSEer please suggest how we can restore GBoard or set up another keyboard, please? We'd be so grateful.
Many thanks.

Just checked to see if you are wrong. You are not.
The only options, Android 9, are "Disable" or "Force Stop".
As previous posts, install it from Playstore.
I prefer Swift keyboard to Gboard. Again, from Playstore.
Has O.P. disabled it or stopped it rather than unistalled?0 -

Thanks, all, for the great community advice!
I went down the PC route. This recognised me but not my wife. For historical reasons, her mobile is registered to me.
However, with a bit of dabbling, I was able to associate her mobile with her hardly-ever-used GMail address and tickety-boo, her keyboard is restored.
Phew, thanks again.0
