Hi,
I recently won an appeal and am due a substantial back payment of UC (dating back 9 months). Besides the money owed, am I entitled to claim or will I receive any form of compensation and/or interest on the amount owed?

Unless there was any degree of maladministration I don’t see why there would be a compensation/interest payment.
Decisions subsequently proved to be incorrect are generally taken to be made in good faith. Similar to how claimants aren’t asked to pay back money paid under appeal where the appeal fails.0 -
Thank you.
I didn't know if there were some policy whereby a set interest rate were applied to back payments, so just asking in case anyone was aware of something that I am not
