Jet2 Passport Validity

Fazeeko
I’m a British citizen with a flight booked to Zakynthos, Greece on the 12/08/19 to the 19/08/2019. My passport has 4 months validly left after the date of travel. I have checked the gov.uk website and it states that my passport must be valid for the duration of stay.
However the Jet2 website states ‘British Citizens will need a full 10 year passport to travel to the destinations we feature and are generally required to have 6 months remaining on it after the scheduled date of return’ and their destinations are in the EU apart from Turkey.
Will I be able to fly with Jet2 tomorrow?

You are correct that your passport only needs to be valid for the duration of your stay. In the FAQs on the Jet2 website it states:How long does my passport have to be valid for to travel?
Please always check Foreign Office advice in plenty of time before your departure to ensure your passport is valid for travel.
For the destinations we operate to within the European Union, please check your passport validity requirements by clicking here and following the instructions.
For non EU destinations, for example Turkey, New York and Montenegro, please click here and navigate to your destination to find the relevant advice.
You’ll be fine.0 -

Bagand96 is quite correct.
Where on the Jet2 website did you find the information you quoted in your original post. I only ask because it is incorrect and Jet2 should be advised to correct it.0 -
No problems flying tomorrow. Your passport only has to be valid for the proposed dates of stay.0

I agree 100% with what you say BUT if it is a business decision that Jet2 makes then they are allowed to do what they want.
As long as the term is not hidden or unfair they won't be told to take it down.0 -
I Realise this is an old post but i wonder if the OIP could confirm if they had any issues with this and indeed, has anyone else had any issues with this via Jet2? ThanksFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
