Could anyone recommend any standard - not soft grip - clothes pegs? I bought some pegs many, many years ago from homebase or b&q that lasted well. Last year I bought a packet from somewhere - cannot remember where - and they are already snapping and breaking. Complete waste of money.
I don't want to waste money again on pegs that break.
Any recommendations?

I have had ASDA plastic pegs for 2 years and they are pretty strong,I bought some from wilkos at the start of this summer but they are falling apart already so I’d give those a miss if I were you.0

Can't go wrong with Lakeland. You can return them if they are duff.0

I like wooden pegs but am having to watch the springs which can slip off. They can be shoved back, though, so I carry on with them.0

I got Elliott wooden pegs years ago. Not buying plastics again; they snap and it's more wasted plastic. The wooden ones are easy to recycle as the metal slides out and so the components can go their separate ways after use/.0

My soft grip pegs came from Lakeland as a freebie, many moons ago. They are lasting well, but I can't afford a Lakeland online shop! I do not live anywhere near a Lakeland shop.
I will look at wooden pegs. I've avoided them so far as I remember my mother's awful pegs that marked the laundry. I suppose that could be avoided by not using them in dampish weather, but would they still be ok on damp laundry??? Must do!!!!0 -
I have been using my wooden pegs- some with springs and some dolly style- since I got married——35 years ago!0

Wooden spring pegs which we have bought recently have been absolute rubbish. Some snapping within half a dozen uses, others the spring falls off. Check Homebase and similar so you can see the quality first.0

Of course wooden pegs can be used on damp laundry. :rotfl:
The laundry is wet when it's pegged out to dry. That's the whole point.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
