Ryanair on strike on our return flight

Hi
We fly out to Italy from Manchester on 15th August and return on 22nd Aug with Ryanair
Ryanair have just announced strike action starting on 22nd Aug for 48 hours.
I've never been in this situation before so looking for some advice on what to do. I've just looked at cancelling the return flight for a refund and booking with another airline but the prices are through the roof.
Am I right in thinking that Ryanair would have to give us accommodation and food etc until the next available flight or would i need to make those arrangements myself?
I'm a pretty chilled out guy to be fair so if we need to stay in Milan for a couple of extra nights until the flights start up again I'll be ok with that as long as i'm not out of pocket.
any help or advice would be appreciated

Ryanair are responsible for getting you sorted. Do nothing and wait for them to sort you out. Otherwise you’lll Lose your rights to compensation, etc.0

If your flight is affected and you're in resort the airline are responsible for duty of care, but the reality is you will probably have to find and pay for your accommodation and and then claim it back. They will pay as long as its reasonable expenses eg not 5 star all inclusive. The will reimburse for average accommodation and meals and some drinks, not alcohol. You also have the right to ask them to reroute you.0
