Lost all my 2019 Windows documents

I have tried to bring up my documents on Excel, Word, and OneNote and the ones from 2019 have disappeared. The only ones available are from 2018 and earlier. Tried to phone Microsoft but the automated talk-through wasn't helpful. I think I batted away an offer to upgrade, which may be the problem. But I'm lost without…

I've just noticed your post - thanks. I thought I was backing up everything automatically but possibly not. I'll need to investigate. I think I may have been confusing 'save' with 'backup'.

However, it's only affecting my 2019 documents, not anything prior to that from 2015 to 2018.
