Keren, I changed my mortgage to interest only (with no back up plan to pay it) when I started the course. I'll change it back to repayment when I'm working again (could be sooner than I thought:o ). I also take out the full student loan every year and have some support from my family (my grandad throws me £50 every month). I must confess that part of the mess I'm in financially is because it took me longer to adapt to not having decent wages anymore but, through MSE and sheer terror, I've learned to tighten my belt and go without stuff I don't need. It's really difficult sometimes but I'm getting there. And, assuming I make it to be a teacher, the wages are really good and I'll be able to deal with my accumulated debt much more quickly.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on
:j NOW DEBT FREE!!!! :j

Hello Keren, how's it going? I've had a good trip but really glad to be home! I've got two black eyes
and look like I've been brawling for a week! I had a parcan fall from the truss and hit me square on the head during the last tune of the last set! I was happy, still at least it was just me damaged and not my lovely new noble and cooley snare!!!!!!! :A

bloody hell Toto........you sound like you've been in the wars!!
At least it wasn't as bad as what happened to Boy George when he played here a few years back - a glitter ball fell on his head in rehearsal and he spend the night at hospital!!
I'm ok, feel quite 'up' today. Christmas is all bought and sorted and i've sold the car I bought in auction (although the buyer has only paid the deposit so far). The profit will pay my tax bill and pay for next year's holiday with a little bit left over for [strike]beer[/strike]........[strike]chocolate[/strike]..............savings.........;)
Mupeteer........can I be really rude and ask how old you are? As you qualified for a student loan? Also what are your monthly outgoings? Not being nosey, just wondering if it is something I could ever do.

Hey Toto, did you reconcile the potential problem with Christmas in Canada?
And can you claim damages from whoever set up the kit so "well" to allow it to fall off?!0 -
Hey floss, yeah good news while I was away. The ex wife in law
has decided not to come (sob, shame... awwwww).
Great news on the car keren, enjoy the chocolate and beer, I've decided savings are for wimps

Can your step daughter still go?Current debt - £16,300
Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
sadly no lucy, but I honestly think she would have found it very difficult anyway. The ex wife has told her that daddy is just working away, she hasn't got around to telling her that actually her and daddy are divorced. We only found out just before the wedding so explained it all to her as best as we could, but she's a little bit confused by the whole thing because her mummy (between you and me) is a psycho and won't admit it to her.:A
