I got a few bits yesterday in sainsburys but could not get too much as my daughter was with me.
Do you think they will have much left monday morning or all stock be gone? I could pop out now as she with her dad, but I suspect shelves be empty now and be busy:beer: If I say something you like....Please hit the thanks button :beer:0 -
Thanks for this.
I went today expecting shelves to be bare and there was still quite alot there (even tho store is a smallish one) and a cage was being pulled out ready to restock. I managed to get:
Barbie Princess Shelly on an elephant - 4.99
Jungle 4 mini puzzles - 1.49
Mini Puzzle - 1.49
Mini Puzzle- 1.49
Thomas Bathtime squirter - 1.49
Bratz Ocean Pony - 2.49
Bratz itsy Bitsy x 2 - 1.99 each
Thomas Puzzle Set - 1.99
Bounce Tigger Game - 4.99
Fairylites Jewelery Box - 2.49
Magnetic Fairy set - 2.49
and 9 little matchbox type cards (need for boys partybags) - 0.24 each!
I was so pleased I would have liked to have found some peppa pig things as youngest DD loves it but I think this may have sold out. Dont know if they will restock but I think I will pay another visit maybe tomorrow or Monday.0 -
I bought my DS a Mr Potato Head transformer - reduced from 9.99 to 4.99.

I got a Toy story Mr Potato Head for £2.49,a Thomas the Tank Giant Card Game for £1.49,2 x My Little Pony Far Away Friends @ £1.25 Each and my best buy IMHO was a Star Wars Transformer for £6.49(my son loves these but i am gutted i spent £12 each on them in the middle of the week)
In both Aberdeen stores there was still a fab selection for the girls and still a good bit for younger boys(Bob the Builder,Mega Blocks,Thomas the Tank etc)Not much in the way of older boys toys though but i was chuffed with the bits i got!Thats a couple more prezzies out of the way!!:D
HTH SomeoneThought for today:-
There comes a time in your life when you realise who matters, who used to matter and those that never did;)
:T Now facing my debts instead of hiding from them!:T
Thanks to everyone on here than has helped me through my darkest days!:D0 -
I bought a couple of the little transformers that sell for £3.99 each for £1.24 each. They did have some of the bigger ones too (sorry didn't notice the price on them).
I saw the big red and yellow lorry transformer for £14.99 instead of £30. No idea what it's called, but I'm sure my son will0 -
Went yesterday mainly looking for transformer things for my 6 yr old son, they didn't have any but I did get a ninitendog thing down to a fiver and a wrestling ring down from £15 to £7.50 and two wrestlers for 2.50 each.
went again today to have quick look and got 2 star wars transformers for 6.50 each and then spotted a single voice changing helmet that he has been asking for right at the back of the bottom shelf so grabbed that as down from £30 to £15, thanks netty betty for posting it has been good for me.LBM-29/08/07

I went to the Luton Bramingham Sainsbury - it had the sign outside and although they normally have much more toys than the little one in Luton the shelves were pretty empty .... virtually no Dr.Who only they sonic screwdriver(althought they were slowly restocking). I managed to buy for my all the kids on my list apart from my DS (managed to sneak a mini marble run in when he wasnt looking! but couldnt get away with anything else!)
I went to the smaller one in Bury Park in Luton and they had less selection but more stock.
I went back in the evening to the bury park one without DS to get stuff for him... Not only did i get loads of dr who bargins. They had a lcd game that looked likes a nintendo ds half price was £7.50 only one left - but they had a bashed box one for £9.99 in the damaged stock bit.... i asked the guy if i could have the bashed box one 1/2 price for £5.00.... after calling two senior memebers of staff i got it for a fiver!! bit of sellotape and you wont be able to tell it was bashed (ds wont care anyway) .... a few years ago i wouldnt have asked!!!
BRILLIANT BRILLIANT FIND - wouldnt have known about it if it wasnt for this board.Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0 -
Are any of these suitable for a 9 year old boy? They didn't have any yesterday but said stock would be coming in last night and tonight. So I might go again tomorrow morning. The little matchbox type of cars at 24p are a brilliant buy.0

I think he's called Venom.
My DS1 had one (not bought by me ) and I found it so scary that I binned it. DS1 still hasn't realised it's missing. :rotfl: I just hated the stupid thing.
But yeah, I'm sure the 7 yo will love it.
Sorry, off topic.
Any Transformers toys included in the sale? Apart from the voice changer (I'm sure DS1 would love it but I don't want to be woken up by a Transformer every morning)
Mmmmm I wondered it he may try to scare his younger sister with it! I have to post the presents so it was nice and light hence I bought it. Hope I'm not in the bad books after this then! :rotfl:
I saw a few transformers there - the prices were either £1.24 (?) or £3.99 - I think. Sorry can't rememeber too much about the more expensive ones as I was looking for a "little" gift for a 3 year old.0
