Openreach damaged my property.

Recently, Openreach came and replaced the incoming line to the house as we had no phone/bb. Speaking to the 2 engineers, I asked whether they needed me to remove the large gates to allow better access. They laughed and said it would be fine. After completing the task, they both left and later that day I noticed that one of the gates had been damaged by the van leaving the drive. The next day I reported this to Openreach and followed this up with a full report along with photos, and the job number provided by Plusnet. Since then, nothing has been forthcoming from O/R not even an acknowledgement.
How should I proceed? They seem determined to ignore me. The damage is not massive but needs taking care of. Any advice, please

When did they attend?
Did you see them damage your gate?
When did you report it?
How did you report it?
Did you report it as a complaint?
Or did you not mention the word complaint? Yes, I know it's daft, but not everyone twigs when you report things!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

You do not have a contract with Openreach. They won’t talk to residential customers. Complain to your telecom provider.0

From my experience, Openreach should get back to you but it may take a few weeks. Log the complaint and details to your ISP and insist that they raise a complaint to Openreach on your behalf as well.
If they don't know how to advise them there is an option to do it somewhere on the Openreach portal. All your base are belong to us.0 -

Irrelevant. You don't have a contract with me, but if I damage your car, you will pursue me, not your car leasing company.
Openreach are still liable for damages they cause.0
