Cannot pay internet bill, what rights do I have with regards to making payments?

Options
Hi,
I missed a payment by one day, and went to make the payment the following day. The website is seemingly glitched. I want to pay this bill and have been attempting to for four days now.
I have contacted support and they have firstly denied that there is anything wrong with their website, and now they have told me they have no idea when it will be fixed. they told me to pay by phone but I do not have any means to do so. I have asked them to instruct me of some other means to pay, either by bank transfer or by cheque. They refuse to do so.
I am left with no feasible means of paying them and they are telling me I have until the 15th of the month until they cut me off. I don't know what I am supposed to do. I want to pay the bill. I am prepared to send them cash, send them a cheque, initiate a bank transfer, paypal, etc. They will not provide me any means of payment and their sole means other than the phone (which I don't have access to) is broken.

Are you saying you have no access to a phone?

Send them a cheque, get a one off one from your bank
    Go to a payphone
Instruct you bank to do a bank transfer

Why do you need them to tell you how to pay...
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

However you pay normally, you must have a reference which you use which allocates your payment to your internet service account.

If you know the company's bank sort code and account number then simply do a faster payment from your account to theirs using your reference as the payment reference to their account.

Otherwise ask someone you trust to make a one-off payment using their card over the phone and give them the cash when done - if you do this, make sure the company understand that it's a one-off payment and no more to be taken from that card.

One thing I cannot understand is how do you make payment on their website if you don't have any form of bank card?

How have you been paying via their website up until their site failed?

I didn't know where to send it to, and the chat support wouldn't tell me who to make it payable to etc, they told me they wouldn't accept a cheque. that's why I was asking about rights. I heard somewhere that amazon stores have to accept cash, so I was wondering if there was some law that meant the ISP have to accept certain forms of payment by law?

edit : Do payphones still exist? I haven't seen one in a long time!

I may have a reference... I could have a hunt for that. it would probably be in my email I guess.
It's normally Direct debit. They refused to tell me a sort code an account number. I specifically asked them for those information so I could do a bank transfer.

I do have a bank card. Did I give the impression don't? I'm a little confused. sorry if I gave that impression.
I don't know if my friend can perhaps help me with the phone thing. he doesn't have a mobile but I think he has a landline. if it works, I could try that.

Do you do online banking ? If so, look up the details of the direct debit there - it'll show the reference number.

Log into your internet provider account, look up FAQ about how to pay or have a look at the last bill as the details should be online.

Phone boxes are around still. Just no longer cheap to use so have loads of change.
