Black Horse car loan PPI

Options
My wife had a car loan back in 2008, form a local dealer. There was PPI on the loan, we were told at the time that the loan was conditional on the PPI being applied.
Black Horse have said they didn't sell the PPI so the dealer is responsible, but the dealer has come back denying ever selling PPI.

What recourse do I have?

Cheers TC

You provide the proof that you have - do you have any?

Can you clarify - Have Black Horse confirmed the loan included PPI or do you still have the Black Horse paperwork showing a charge for PPI or any other proof you had PPI?

Hi, I am just trying to submit a PPI claim via the link to Resolver. I complete the whole form and click on continue at the bottom and all that does is take me back to the top of the form and take out some of my responses. This is happening repeatedly. It's not because of errors as they have all been sorted out. I am very frustrated. I have emailed them as well (no phone number) .
Can anyone advise? I am using Chrome and have deleted all cookies etc. I did it yesterday and it worked OK.
    Thanks
    Lynne

Send your complaint direct to the lender.

It's too late in the day to be hoping that a third party will correctly forward on your complaint for you.

I have the form from BH confirming PPI, they say it was sold by the car dealer, but the form I have from them only has a signatue on it.
Details of the car the loan was for and ammounts, but it is a seperate form from the loan.

Does this PPI form actually have Black Horse written on it? I used to work in Car Dealer compliance and by 2008 many dealers had stopped selling PPI at the point of sale, the customer would get a postcard style invitation to apply for PPI sent to them by post a week or so after the deal was concluded. Many customers have sent these invitations in as "proof" of PPI along with their complaint even though they never accepted or returned the form to accept the invitation.

It has the BH details and agreement number on it.
I originally sent BH a general letter saying we had loans with them, could they provide details. We had two loans, one of which didn't have PPI on it, but this one did. When I complained to BH they said that they didn't sell me the PPI, so were not responsibl, it was the car dealer who sold it, so I would have to take it up with them.
    The car dealer replied with:
"DEALER Name do not and have never entered in to the sale of PPi. Black Horse in 2008 may have contacted you direct to apply the cover for reasons better known to them. I would ask they provide you the terms of their acceptance of the loan. DEALER Name will challenge any claim regarding PPi from a personal aspect and many of the PPi sales we have seen have rolled the cover into one payment whereas in your document it is clear the cover has a separate charge and what it is for."
