Thanks for that. What is a mail program please? How do I download my account on to that?
Could you elaborate anymore on how I do it. I'm sorry to sound completely thick. Thanks. X

As Annie says Thunderbird is 1.

Id point you in the direction of youtube for a how to video unless someone has a link for it.

Yep, because it's a BT supplied Yahoo account. You should never use an ISP supplied email account.
I've only ever had a BT landline and a plusnet internet account. I've had a yahoo email account for years. If I change my landline and broadband provider will I lose my Yahoo email account?

Yes, BT will pull the plug on you unless you pay them £7.50 a month for a premium account if you’re with another ISP.

I've never had BT internet so always been with another ISP. Has yahoo been free for me because of the BT landline?

If it is a standalone Yahoo account (not one organised through BT) then no you won't lose it. I have changed ISP many times over the years and still have my Yahoo email.
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

EMail comes with BB not the landline .
  • Have you always had a BT landline?
    No

You don't need a landline or even broadband to have an email address.

As said above, if you signed up to yahoo email rather than it being provided to you as part of a broadband package, then no, you won't lose it by changing your internet provider.
