I've only ever had a BT landline and a plusnet internet account. I've had a yahoo email account for years. If I change my landline and broadband provider will I lose my Yahoo email account?Colin_Maybe wrote: »Yep, because it's a BT supplied Yahoo account. You should never use an ISP supplied email account.0 -

Yes, BT will pull the plug on you unless you pay them £7.50 a month for a premium account if you’re with another ISP.Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
I've never had BT internet so always been with another ISP. Has yahoo been free for me because of the BT landline?Mutton_Geoff wrote: »Yes, BT will pull the plug on you unless you pay them £7.50 a month for a premium account if you’re with another ISP.0 -

If it is a standalone Yahoo account (not one organised through BT) then no you won't lose it. I have changed ISP many times over the years and still have my Yahoo email.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -

You don't need a landline or even broadband to have an email address.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -

As said above, if you signed up to yahoo email rather than it being provided to you as part of a broadband package, then no, you won't lose it by changing your internet provider.Indecision is the key to flexibility
