Best savings account

Hi,
I have some money sitting in a savings bank ac on 0.2% interest. I'd like to move it.
The Co-op Bank and Sainsbury's Bank have 1.4/1.5% interest deals which look great.
However, reviews on both these banks are not great. In fact. reviews on most banks don't seem to be that great!
Has anyone had experience of any of these banks?
Thanks in anticipation :)

Try a Marcus account and there's also Aldermore. I have accounts with both Marcus for easy access and Aldermore for more long term savings. There are other banks but these are the ones I use.
  • Thanks, I'll have a look at these.
  • Thanks for the posts so far but really looking for reviews of Co-op Bank, Sainsburys Bank and Post Office online saver, if anyone has any experience of these :)

That is probably because when it comes to banks, only people who have had a bad experience tend to post reviews.
A savings account is a simple product so most banks will be no problem most of the time .
I have had a good experience with 'Ford Money ' - but online only.

You do not say if you want to apply online or in Branch. I have accounts with both the Post Office and Co-op and have never had any problems. Co-op staff are very friendly and helpful. The Post Office withdrawals are not immediate usually next working day.

Don't understand why you are not interested in Marcus as it pays 1.50% interest and withdrawals are by faster payment - bit slower at weekends. Is it because you do not want an online account.

  • Yes, that can be the case with anything being reviewed but I still like to see more positive reviews than negative. Thanks.

Either Online or in Branch would do. I'm glad you've had a good experience and thanks for letting me know.
