Hi everyone, my holiday is over so I was wondering, can I take my unspent Euros to the Post Office and have them exchange to £GBP direct into my bank account or do I have to take cash?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Why don't you ask them??
Why would you have left over Euros anyway? You just take them out of the ATM as and when.0 -
it depends who you bank with some you can cash in euros and pay direct into your bank using your debt card some you need your paying in book so no easy answer
unless you have a lot of euros just keep them as you wll loose a fortune changing them back to sterling if you have plans to go to Europe in the next couple of years dont cash them in as you wll loose around £20.00 per £100.00 on what you paid for them0 -
If you can withdraw cash at a PO using your UK debit card then you can also deposit funds there.
Exchange you Euros and pay the cash into your current account.0 -

Because I've not had the need to visit a PO and cannot find the answer on line.0 -

Post Office has one of the worst 'buyback' rates imaginable, but if that's where you originally bought them perhaps you don't mind.
The pound is very cheap now, anyway.Evolution, not revolution0 -
Unless you really need the money now, you'd do better keeping them until next time in Eurozone especially at current exchange rates.0

Some post offices wont take back currency if you didn't buy from them in the 1st place
I know the 2 local ones to me don't , good for me as I buy them back at my exchange place regardless of where they come from"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0 -

#7 - more in sense that buying back unused currency is never likely to be at a good rate0
