Revolut metal is it worth it?

How come other card providers, such as (from my understanding) revolut, when I've used my Santander card all give the same rate as the ring fenced amount.
Sorry but that's not true. The final amount you're charged is based on the forex rate on the day your credit/debit card issuer processes the transaction. Therefore Starling have done absolutely nothing wrong0 -
I purchased something in dollars. The app notified me it was going to it was going to £35.03. I checked the app a few days after they said the transaction was £35.18 (15p I know but I took a screenshot of the notification for my records and its a point of principle!)
I contacted the in-app support who said "Yeah we can change the exchange rate as we see fit, we have to cover ourselves" then proceeded to say they've done nothing wrong the in app notification is not to be considered the exact amount charged and they reserve the right to change the exchange rate.
However as a gesture of good will they will send me a pair of socks.
I have a Monzo account, I found their cards working hit and miss last time I was in Singapore. However I have it as a just in case as theyve done no wrong!
So you want to pay £12.99 every month because the rate differs by 15p to get £600 per month of free foreign ATM withdrawal compared to Starling's unlimited withdrawal and purchase?
Also note that the next time, the rate could have worked out in your favour.0
