Travel insurance

Ive just booked a special trip away for me and the wife to Japan,
spending on Air bnb accomodation, Japan Rail passes and as its a special occasion, business class flights
can anyone recommend a decent insurer that will cover this in case of a cancellation ?
ive done a quick google but for business class flights, the insurers come up with business travel insurance but the trip is not that.

You need full travel insurance, not just cancellation.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
As long as the cancellation limit section covers the total you would have to pay in the event of a cancellation you will be covered
(Business class is not just for travelers on business!)
You should be covered now! You can get run over by a bus at any time!0 -
It depends on what your question really is - the business class flights might be a red herring. If you are just looking for high value cover then the best I found for last year's trip of a lifetime was LV=I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

I am with insure & go.
I have their gold which is £7500 each, but there are other levels.
It was £137 for 2 people annually.
I’ve never claimed with them but I’ve been happy with the service I’ve received I.e. they answer the phone promptly and you get to speak to people who know the policy and not people reading from a script.
I’ve called them to ask about health of an elderly relative and was quite satisfied with the answer given regarding coverage.0 -
You will only be covered for cancellation in a very limited set of circumstances.
This is usually.
Your own health preventing you going e.g. you break a leg.
A close family member being seriously ill such that a hospital consultant would advise you not to travel at that time.
A close family member dying.
Not being able to physically get there e.g. volcanic ash (you’ll need natural disasters covers).
You cannot simple decide to cancel due to personal reasons.
Those are just examples, for full details see the policy, but it’s quite limited to specific circumstances.
We have to travel 6 weeks after 9/11 and disinclination to travel is not covered even in that scenario.0
