First step, edit your post to conceal the identity of the driver. I take it you are the Registered Keeper? Fine to refer to yourself like that. Then there's 'the driver' which is how you refer to them.
The PPCs do lurk on the forum and have been known to use people's posts against them.
I've not heard of GroupNexus. You need to find out whether GN is a BPA or IPC member. And whether the PCN you've received is POFA compliant. There's plenty of time to learn about this stuff. Your situation isn't different, if you're going to appeal as keeper you'll just do so for each PCN.
Meanwhile, complain vigorously to the landowner which I guess is most likely to be Sedgemoor Services - find an email address for the manager and email them. Was money spent on those occasions by any occupants of the car? If so, refer to that. Explain the reason for the mistake on both occasions and strongly request that they cancel the charges.
That does need to be a good email to handle the fact that there's one PCN but another may yet arrive. However it really looks like the driver genuinely made a mistake and is wiser now .... it's worth emphasising that. I think just tell it like it is. But don't identify the driver even in a complaint.0 -

Suggest you do an internet search and find:
Parking Eye -v- QC Nicholas Bowen very similar circumstances to yourselves.

IMPORTANT! What is the date on the PCN? That is the date they claim to have printed it.0

The driver … never even conceived of the idea of them charging for staying too long
Personally, I find it hard to believe that anyone in this country is unaware of the Great British Parking Scam.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Just use the standard blue text template from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 (don't add or remove anything), then CP Plus will know you're getting forum help and they will cancel. No need to over complicate this.
Deal with each charge separately, so get the current charge dealt with now, don't let it stack up for any second charge. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You need to state your name (not just sign your name). We recommend you sign the appeal with a squiggle. There's no need for a third party, sending you a speculative invoice, to have sight of your real signature. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. The bit in capital letters isn't part of the template!
It's instructions! Intended for the writer!0
