PO Credit Card no instant decision - rejected?

Options
Hi, this afternoon I made an online application for the Post Office Credit Card. After submitting the application, I got a message to this effect, "We are unable to provide you with an instant decision on your application. We will write to you in the next 5 days to inform you of our decision."

Does it mean I am rejected? Or is there still a possibility that I will get accepted?

Thanks!

I applied on Sunday and got that message.

Though today I got the pin number. No card and no confirmation of my acceptance.

I assume I am getting the card!

Id say you got it lol................:D
  • I just got the same message, I used to have a poor credit rating, but over the past two years have rebuilt it, so am keeping my fingers crossed really.
I moved house 6 months ago, back in with my family, so I don't know how much of an impact that will have.
  • I got that message, then a letter asking for documents proving address and identity, then got turned down!

Normally to be instantly accepted you have to have the following:

    - On electoral register with a good history (No Gaps of where you have lived for the past few years)
    - Good History
    - No CCJ's or BR

Anything less than this and you will have trouble methinks....

Thanks for applying for a Virgin Credit Card.

To give you the best chance of being accepted, we'd like to confirm a couple of things. So if you could give us a call on
    0800 0156 517 that'd be great. We're here 8am- 8pm Monday to Thursday, and 8am-5pm Fridays.

If we don't hear from you, we'll still have a look at your application, and get back to you in the next 7-10 days.

Anyone had this before, what could it be?, The only issues that i may have are in respect of my husband who went bankrupt 2 months ago but any financial linking was removed before this as we had a joint mortgage in my last house which was repaid 20 months ago.

    Thanks
