in Gardening
I have 7 full size and 2 half size ones that I need to get rid of (after major gardening project) but am struggling to find places/companies that would take them away (i'm not looking to get money for them).
I don't have the means of taking them to recycling centres etc or i'd just do it myself.
Online searches of local businesses that collect don't if it's under 50 pieces i'd have to take them to them.
Contacted a couple of 'scrap/clearance' guys but they don't have vehicles large enough to accommodate them.
I don't have the space to leave them in my front garden or drive with notices on saying 'Free, help yourself', and, don't really want to advertise on social media telling people they can come here and collect them.
Have any other forumites had companies/places picking up such small numbers of them ?
Aren't there any nationwide companies that have methods whereby they map/travel routes that go round uplifting small numbers to make up a round trip of collections ?
Maybe i'm just ahead of the game on that one ?!!!

I would take them if you were local to me, but as you don't want to put them on the likes of Freecycle, I don't know you have them.
Seems a no-brainer.
Your scrap/clearance guys are fibbing; they just aren't worth their time and diesel.0 -
Ring round local allotment societies ?
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -
Do you have a local Men in Sheds group?0

As above but only if they are not the Blue Chep pallets, which need to be collected by them.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

We used to get people coming around [STRIKE]stealing[/STRIKE] collecting the pallets all the time.
They would take them to places that rebuild them. Others collect them to make things or even use for firewood.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Annoyingly no-one's pinched these, had a double radiator stolen, that was near my front door whilst a room was decorated, but these clearly aren't desirable
Contacted a place that wants unwanted wood, for learning projects, but they weren't interested in the pallets.0 -

Asked some folks from my local allotment but they weren't interested !0 -
Shame you don't want to put them on social media - when we were searching for a couple of pallets for a home project, we couldn't find any without having to go to a trader and paying for them.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
