NEWBIES - HOW TO UPLOAD LINKS TO PHOTOS/SCANS TO MSE

To upload a photo/scan link, you first need to host it on a free photo hosting site (like Dropbox, Imurg or Tinypic), copy the URL, paste it here, but change the http to hxxp and we'll do the conversion. Newbies can't directly upload links to photos/scans until they've a few posts under their belt.

  • Hi,
I followed the advice on the forum and just ignored the letters and it might be due to the current COVID situation, but after about 8/9 months they just stopped sending them.
There is nothing they can do based on my circumstances so I just ignored them. :)
    Hope your situation works out.

I would kindly request that you read through the links I sent .... as I cannot tell what letters you are ignoring .....

you do not ignore the first letters from a PPC
you can ignore debt collectors letters
you must not ignore LBC/actual court letters.

And you can't be sure of that for six years.

    Thank you for your responses:
    So what I did:
    1) when I first got the letter I appealed as owner not driver - prior to reading MSE forums (silly I know).
    2) I got a rejected appeal as expected based on what I read on MSE Forums. I tried to call the company responsible for the land who were less than helpful.
    3) I read the "debt collection" letters are not enforceable. Therefore I ignored them.
    4) The text messages stopped and the letters also stopped being sent after 5/6 "different" companies tried to get me to pay the alleged parking fines. It just seemed like this Parking solutions company uses different headers and footers to try confuse people.
    5) Not received any actual court letters so hopefully it remains that way.
    6) Its been 1 year so 5 to go!!

I will have a read through your links again, to refresh my mind and if I remember do certain tasks like writing to the DVLA and MP. Thank you.

Keep all the letters.  Scraping the barrel with old cases is bound to become the norm, with very late claims being made to try to recoup monies 'lost' in fines not issued during lockdown.

Did you mean KEEPER not DRIVER?
  • These rouge landowners are using PCM etc to get money out of peoples pockets.
we should all complain to Trading Standards, 20 complaitns triggers an investigation....

Anyway High Point at a Hayes and Harlington London tube station doesn't allow drop off or pick up of passengers.

This is my appeal to a PCN (invoice) issued by PCM. I am amazed by the photo evidence they provided, not only from the street light level photo, there are photgraphs from street level too, from the pavement side on both sides of the street.... already smelling a rat.

Then to top it off the parking restriction plaque stating there is no grace peroid, so once you enter the road from a busy roundabout you are trapped.

"You issued me with a parking ticket on 09/03/2024 I believe it was unfairly issued. I will not be paying your demand for payment for the following reasons:

    There is insufficient signage
This is the first time my passenger was dropped off for the tube station (20 seconds stopping time). The car was never parked and never left unattended. The car park in question has no clear signage to explain what the relevant parking restrictions are. This means no contract can be formed with the landowner and all tickets are issued illegally.  Later I discovered there is no grace period, so even if the car was parked and a payments is being made you would still issue the PCN.  ‘ if you stop for more than three minutes to drop off passengers or to collect passengers, or to load or unload goods, this is not considered as parking in terms of the Road Traffic Act.’ Due to the reasons mentioned above I believe the charge should be waived.
I hope this helps our cause.

See my reply there about Hayes & Harlington. These are both old threads though.  No point posting here.

@BillyGoatGruff_2, I think you have that the wrong way round.

It is PCM etc that are exploiting landowners 'to get money out of people's pockets'.   ;)

Anyway, as already suggested, this is for another thread.
