Seriously , do the work as they may discontinue , they may not send anyone , but take a relative or friend to speak on your behalf , answer any questions put to you , concentrate on any untruths etc and expose them , especially the scammers added charges

Tell the usher you are extremely nervous with anxiety and ask them to inform the judge on your behalf , it's not as if the judge hasn't seen it before

Bear in mind that this is a dispute about money , not armed robbery , so at worst a judge will say , miss Cheryl Wales (royalty ?? Lol) you owe xxx pounds to the claimant and must pay it with one month

If that happens , pay up , in full , promptly

Even if it becomes £175 instead of double , it's better than not turning up and costing over £300

They won't send you to madame le guillotine , they won't transport you to the colonies , they won't take the cat or dog , they won't put you in the stocks and throw rotten eggs

I have seen people like you on here , taken to court , confirm who they are and not had to say a word as the judge rips into the claimant and then dismisses the case and awards costs to the defendant. Those people have walked out without knowing what happened , but have won

Ps , your skeleton argument is optional and is really an aide memoire of the key points , mainly to aid you in court

The mandatory points at this stage are

The witness statement including references to numbered exhibits
The exhibits (evidence , docs , maps , contracts , photos etc)
Your costs schedule , so half a day's pay , travel , parking of say £5 etc , printing costs , postage

So 3 bundles , one to court , preferably hand delivered , one to claimant emailed and posted with proof of posting , one to take on the day

as for getting it in on time - print it all out, in a folder hole punched divided etc, and walk intothe court with it

For the C - send it via first class post with FREE proof of posting, AND email it to them. Strictly without their permission you cant send email, but by doing both its really, really difficult for them to claim they were disadvantaged by it. especially as noone from BW Legal will actually be there - itll be a local rep probbaly only getting the file the day before, so they REALLY cant complain.

Don't get concerned about BWLegal, they really are not that smart, otherwise they would not subject themselves to being spanked in court which is happening right now.

The problem BWLegal has is that they never know which case will end up with a spanking for them

They might discontinue to save that spanking

To echo what others have said, it can be done! Won't be easy but the feeling you get when you win will be worth all the (perceived) anxiety. If you do decide not to attend you need to put in a VERY strong Witness Statement along with good evidence in order to try to head off anything the PPC might [strike]lie[/strike] talk about.

There was a poster on here a few months back who was so convinced she would lose that her user name was "Ican'tdothisI'mgoingtolose" or similar and when she won, she said the feeling walking out of court had her on cloud nine - and she had to change her user name!
