The whole idea of the listing is to pull people in.
Do you leave your chairs out from under your dining table? I certainly dont, so why should they on the listing?
Go & sit 4 people round that dining table then.
Not only will the chairs be further away, but there's also zero shoulder room.
So, what would that room look like with a normal sized table, with people sitting round it, other furniture etc? It wont look anywhere near as spacious.0 -
Well your making the assumption that everyone has a grand dining room table capable of hosting the last supper.0

Let us know how you get on with your offer. That house in my town in Scotland would be worth around £400k, it's in good nick and potential to something with basement! Good luck.0

No news yetbut no way are we going further than 238ish. As we and others have pointed out it isn't worth 1/4 of a mill.

All houses have a buyer... who love/wanted what others dislike.
Some people might see the basement, which is a utility, and think "family room, stick a bit of a conservatory out there", others might see "annexe potential/AirBNB rental with a bit of fiddling around".
The question is: does this house fit your lifestyle?
If you want to sit in the living room and step out into the garden, then no - as you'd never see the garden because "it's down all those stairs and I'm watching the TV/comfy here".
The red kitchen.... would make me run a mile, especially when the tiles are added into the equation. Others would think "ideal for the dogs, LOVE red!".
If this house does not fit your lifestyle, it's not for you at any price. Maybe you were just sucked in by "size", but size isn't anything with houses if the flow/layout don't fit how YOU actually live your life, with your hobbies/interests/visitors/belongings and quirks.0
