I've been on a personal journey since January 2019 and used up 25 products so far, however I have been buying occasional little products along the way.

Today's IN: Avon Skin So Soft Spray - I've brought this for my first ever holiday abroad as I heard it helps with insects, can anyone else recommend this? Also, do you use it before or after suncream?

    Many Thanks,

Yes the SSS spray is fab, I get so many orders for it in the summer! The only thing to remember is not to use it as your only insect repellent where there are insect-borne diseases e.g. Malaria, as I said to someone the other day, it's good but it's not THAT good!

And yes, definitely after SPF or any other skincare has had time to dry/settle, approx. 10-15 minutes is good, to be fair with most sunscreens you have to apply them 15-20 minutes before going into the sun so just spritz the SSS before you go, that's what I do!

    One UU this morning:

Ecooking 24 Hour Cream sample WNB. It's a decent cream but it doesn't wow me and it has a horrible smell.
  • I finished my lancome eyeshadow. It was pigmented and blended well.

I bought another shampoo. I have so much that I don't know what to do. I know, stop buying. I will get there.

It really made me feel less like wanting to buy products. I really get tired of Al the excessive amount of packing on products. It feels wasteful.

    Two samples UUs this evening:

Clarins SOS Pure Rebalancing Clay Mask 5ml sample WNB. This was nice but it did start to irritate my skin slightly.

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque sample WNB. This was alright but it wasn't anything exciting.

It's awful I agree and people just don't seem to understand that it is a crisis, the only way is to take the options away from people. I will use what I have already but am making better choices going forward. No one needs 5 different products in their morning facial skincare routine and 5 more in the evening - it's crazy.

    uu

Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter 250ml - nice enough, not my favourite of theirs but WNBA even if it was.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk 500ml - WNBA, this is not a milk, it is thick and it makes my skin itchy where it touches other bits of skin.

Boots Extracts Mango Shower Gel 250ml - this didn't seem to last very long but was nice.

When compiling my UU list I missed a couple of items, this one is now finished

1 litre Philip Kingsley Itchy Scalp Shampoo 1/55. MBA but trialling Superdrug Trichology range shampoo and scalp lotion at present, opposite end of the price spectrum:money:

I like the thought of shampoo and conditioner bars, but having fine hair and often itchy scalp I am loathe to invest any cash on trying them and risking flareups. The BS one I tried a few years ago left my hair in a horrid knotty state.

The Friendly Soap Company ones look possible, perhaps when I have lessened the stash and have more cash available in the winter might give them a try.

Maddiemay try Lush Trichology if they still make it, I used it back when I bought stuff from them and I too have an itchy scalp.

EDIT: They do make it, it's called Trichomania not Trichology)

    I use 5 in the morning if I do a full routine (micellar water-toner-eye cream-serum-SPF) and 7 in the evening, 6 if I haven't worn make-up (cleansing cream/oil-micellar water-toner-eye cream-serum-night cream-night mask). I'm sure I've seen others say the same :o

I am an avid-recycler as well, if I have to throw it away I do but I try to avoid as much stuff going to landfill as possible.

I’m back. Last month was a bust really. We had a family bereavement and also went away to Prague so I spent money on skincare and makeup for comfort and as a habit to treat myself on holiday. I like my purchases though.

I got MAC Primer and Fix Plus mini size at Airport and Kat Von D Lovecraft lip lacquer from Sephora. I ordered ABC Skinwash x 2 1litre bottles and wipes (TSV kit), bought The Ordinary Rosehip oil and LUSH Cup o Coffee from Trafford Centre last week. Did buy other items for Emma but don’t count them as my INs.

I have finished items but I can’t remember what they all are so will start afresh counting this month. So today I’ve finished Urban Decay Perversion mascara WNBA the formula was too wet. Have pulled Lancôme Hypnose from my stash. Also finished bottle of My Burberry Blush. Will repurchase at some stage.

So my PP List at the end of the month

    Lacura hot cloth cleanser
[STRIKE][/STRIKE]The Body Shop Camomile cleansing butter[STRIKE][/STRIKE]
Bath and Body Works Shea Butter hand cream
    Snake Venom eye cream
[STRIKE][/STRIKE]Living Proof Restore hair detangler [STRIKE][/STRIKE]
    Tweak'd hair mask
    [STRIKE][/STRIKE]ABC cleansing bar
    ABC body lotion
    Laura Geller Speckle [STRIKE][/STRIKE]
    Lacura Q10 serum

    Carrying forward
    Lacura hot cloth cleanser
Bath and Body Works Shea Butter hand cream
    Snake Venom eye cream
    Tweak'd hair mask
    Lacura Q10 serum

    Adding
    Lacuna glycholic pads
    Liz Earle Skin Repair
    The Ordinary Rosehip oil
    Elemis Balancing Lime Blossom cleanser
Liz Earle Lavender and Rosemary shower gel

Will go and find my Autumn challenge list now.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

NARS Outlaw and NARS Gilda blush
    OPI A Definite Moust Have
    A fragrance
    Colourpop Supershock shadow : Bill
Shimmery brown eyeshadow from Smashbox Full Exposure palette
OPI mini lacquer Aurora Berry Alis
    NYX colour correcting concealer

2 fragrances now gone since the beginning of this challenge. Will keep rotating now I think as I don’t have any others capable of being finished I don’t think. Will be wearing Liz Earle No9 for the rest of this week.

Finished the NYX concealer. WNBA. Maybe the formula has been changed but this was dry under my eyes. Used as a primer on my lids.

Admit I haven’t used the Smashbox eyeshadow as I get so much fall out with it. Will try using it with MAC Fix Plus.
