Faulty Breville Kettle - advice needed!

Hello!
I have a Breville kettle that is dangerously faulty and need help! I have reported it to Breville and they said that because it is out of warranty they won’t help but this is sheer dangerous not a simple warranty issue. Can anyone help?
The kettle was full of boiling hot water and the handle just snapped!! I’ve taken photographs but don’t know how to attach them here! If anyone else has had this issue I would be keen to know! The kettle was bought as a gift to us so we have no receipt.

You have no rights, the person who bought it for you may. But they would have to be clear what they were looking for.0

For a one off happening I doubt very much if Breville would do anything apart from maybe logging the fault in the records.
As it's out of warranty, it must be over 1 year old and there is no way of telling what has happened to the kettle in that year.
It might have been knocked or dropped, something that could easily cause a tiny hairline crack that was slowly growing every time it was picked up.0 -

The purchasers consumer rights are against the vendor .You have no rights .
Brevill will have logged your issue .
Note you dont actually say how old this kettle is .0 -
If it's a dangerous design fault, it would be worth passing the details to Trading Standards0

The OP didn't buy the kettle. It was a gift so she does not have any rights.0 -

Not at all I just think when something like that happens on a product that is meant to last a long time it should be replaced or repairedThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
