Hello,i've recently switched my home broadband and phone from BT to Sky.I chose Sky Superfast which offers 68.9 to 74.5 mbs and guarantees 62.9. However since joining the speed has failed to go above 30mbs and that's connected by ethernet cable and barely above 20 without. I should add that i had no problems with my previous BT hub. Despite many calls to sky where they questioned my equipment and setup and sent me a replacement hub the speed and wifi strength are still poor.
I have two questions.
Firstly, are all hubs the same or is there somewhere that i can compare them?
Secondly,i'm aware that if they're not providing what is promised i can switch. But here's the catch, i've tried to switch back to BT and also EE. Failing both times.I spoke to someone at BT and they told me that my local exchange is at capacity.Could this be true or am i being blocked?
P.S. Is there an app that could monitor your broadband speeds to make sure we are getting what we pay for?
Thanks in advance.

First thing is to check the actual line speed in your router's stats as this will tell you what you're connecting at.
This information should also be available through Sky My BroadbandA kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
All hubs are not the same .Just as all ISPs are not the same nor supply top class routers .
BT Hub 5 and 6 where both very good hubs .
