cancel my contract with o2
I have a o2 contract and it was the k800i silver ed i got last december, well my contract ends on 9th dec and i want to finish my contract,i called them and they said i would need to write or email them if i want to do this.
They gave me the email and i just dont trust these mobile companies and want to know if the right email they gave was right, does anyone know it.
And also if they do cancel the contract this way.
I was offered a new phone and reduce costs etc,but to be truthfull i could not understand a word the girl was saying on the phone, and really i dont want another contract as one i dont use it much,i only get it for a new phone.
I normally change the sim and use payg, also i maybe moving overseas and dont want to be tied to another contract.
They said on the phone there is a 30 day notice required,so today being the 21st nov what does this mean for me when my contract is up on the 9th dec and then they say something about 14 days after the 30 days, whats that all about.
Something to do with any charges outstanding etc in that 14 days gets paid.
As i said on the 9th dec i beleive my contract is up for 12 months well thats the date they told me and i want to cancel it.
Will me emailing them to cancel is this now going to be done, will i need to cancel my direct debit with them and if so when.
As said i dont trust these companies when it comes to closing down your contract.
Some advise would be good on this as its been sometime since i had a contract and ended one,and need to know what i should expect etc and look out for.
