    Kind Regards
'Kind Regards'? What? In a formal letter to someone trying to sue you for over £200?

This is now part of a legal process, where 'Kind Regards' has no place. No more than ' Lots of love', or 'Love and kisses'. 'Yours faithfully' is the correct valediction to a 'Dear Sir/Madam' salutation.

Keep this formal, at arms length. Cuddling up will serve you no favours! :)

Of course, Umkomaas! you're absolutely right... this is merely my email "signature" and shall be duly amended

Redx - will send the usual "put on hold" email due to SAR Request - as previously compiled, obviously without success...

Thanks all for your advice - will update further as and when.

Include the "seeking advice on debt management" reason for requesting a hold

Agreed, it's not just put it on hold due to the SAR request, the crucial element is the debt management advice , not the SAR , it has nothing to do with the SAR, but all elements should be included

… whilst also denying the debt.

We have seen several claims for "old" PCNs where the scammers seem to have lost the original NTK. Without it the scammers are stuffed, and they know it.
Personally I would tell them, show me the NTK, cancel, or take me to court and lose.

Do not mention any fake add on charges as mentioned by beamerguy until you have the actual claim from the court itself. Once you have that then you can request the claim be struck out for abuse of process, but mentioning it beforehand might still result in a claim but with the add ons removed.

    Hi.

Received a response from TPS today. Their first notice apparently was the NTK (didn’t read the small print)
Assume now I’ll be best off sending a “without prejudice” letter attaching the Retailers offer to pay the fine on my behalf, as a gesture of goodwill and see where that takes me?

    Thoughts.....?

You'll need to check first if the 'NtK' was PoFA compliant to determine whether They have a case against you as the keeper.

as above , we can only go off what you tell us and you said they were all reminders

TPS believe the first one was the NTK, so that should be checked carefully and closely to see if TPS adhered to POFA or not , which they MUST DO to make a keeper liable for the pcn , so check timescales and wording etc
