Has anyone else noticed that when you pay for an app using your mobile phone billing - it is not itemised (at least on Three it is not) - I just get a £3.95 (or whatever) addition to my bill - down as "payforit" ....
Easy to let a rogue charge through.
I realise that these are outside of Three - but surely - since I am paying Three - they should be able to tell me what the charge is for ?

  • Probably best to avoid charging anything other than calls and texts to your phone. By using "charge to bill" you forfeit most of your consumer rights (or at least they become unenforceable). Payforit lacks the disputes procedures, refund mechanisms and consumer controls that we have come to expect of other payment mechanisms.
It may be convenient to charge other services to your phone bill, but as many have found, when something goes wrong your network won't want to know. Use other payment mechanisms instead. Payforit charge 30% for their services, much more than credit and debit cards and more than Paypal and Amazon Pay. If a service only allows payment via Payforit ask yourself why.
