I've read it, but i am not sure what point you are trying to get across...what have I missed?

The suggestion being you claim against them for some form of tort, such as breach of data protection, harassment etc

Without doubt, Gladstones are a nasty cheapo company. More fool UKCPM for getting involved with scammers.

If they are to instruct this incompetent bunch, at least instruct them NOT to add an unlawful charge, no point in letting a dodgy legal decide their fate
