Sending money to USA via global cash card

Hi
Hope someone can help please. My son is in America working over the summer, he is being paid via Global Cash Card (seems to be a common way of employers paying employees in the states who don’t have a bank account). I would like to send him some money as a one off and just wondered if anyone had experience of sending to this card. Or if there is a better more money saving way to get some dollars over to him. Tia

You need to determine how employers deposit payroll to your son's card account, I can't see the method outlined on the website:

What does your son have in the way of UK accounts or travel cards that he took with him? What's his age?

They send them the card? :money:
