QACI
I have just checked my spend for the last week and have spent £104.50 for the week including 2 NSD.
This week may be a bit more spend as we're going out for the day on Friday so will have rail fares. We will however be taking a packed lunch and be using the royal palaces season ticket so that should bring the spending down.
August is going to be expensive though as I have to buy school shoes and trainers for the twins and new school skirts. Their old skirts are in good Nick but obscenely short!
Otherwise very little else to report.

I have just checked my daily interest on my credit cards.
I am currently paying over £24.75 per day .:eek:
In addition we are paying £10.6_ per day interest on the secure loan and £17.66 on the mortgage.
In total we are paying approx £53 per day in interest alone :eek::eek:
The only was is down :T:T

Ouch to the interest. Do you have a cunning plan to resolve this?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Once the credit cards start looking more respectable I will look toward opening some with 0% offers and doing some balance transfers.
That figure includes mortgage interest and secured loan interest.
Still on target to be totally debt and mortgage free by Sept 2027
Completely knackered.
My 22 minute train journey from St Pancras to St Albans took over 5 hours tonight involving a tube to High Barnet and a bus
Friendly chaos at St Pancras.
Fortunately I have wine tonight ( it's Friday) :beer::beer::beer:

Ok, so maybe i have premature expectations
Last year I ordered a turkey crown then rocked up to M&S at the top of our road and picked up a whole turkey, recently deceased for a tenner.
Said crown went straight into freezer and we had fresh corpse on Christmas day.
Crown is now getting long in the tooth so it's roast turkey dinner tomorrow, turkey risotto on Monday and turkey fricassee on Tuesday, turkey soup for the rest of the week.
Living the dream.
This year, I won't order a turkey for Christmas, I will rock up to M&S at closing time on Christmas eve and pick up .whatevs

Payday on Thursday
I have just checked the income and outgoings for the remainder of the month.
We have £10 to last us until the husband's pension comes in on 5th September :eek:
I think I need to go back to the books and review what's going out and when

OH has had a persistent debt letter, this time from post office credit card. He phoned them today and set up a £75 DD. That's now one we can put aside and forget about.
Looking forward to 18th when I can update my signature

Updated my signature today, I have made some serious inroads and haven't spent on CC' s for over a month.
Payday yesterday. This month is going to be pretty expensive because of back to school expenses so no hope of any additional cash onto the cards.

Still here but struggling more this month due to back to school expenses and twins growing at a rate of knots about to enter year 8.
Husband got an email from Nationwide advising that his overdraft rate is going up to 39.9% from November 11th.
We need to put efforts into clearing the overdraft over the next couple of months and take the focus off the credit cards.
Off to Tower of London on Saturday using our HRP cards, taking a picnic so hopefull it will only cost the train fare.
Have made an appointment with Nationwide next week to discuss mortgage options. Our 5 year fixed rate with Santander ends in January.
I did contact NW earlier this week to enquire about later life mortgages.
We meet the age criteria but as I am not retired we are not eligible to apply.
If all else fails we will get another mortgage with Santander but we would prefer to move mortgages and release some equity.
Onward and neither up nor downward
