You know those days when you feel like you're never going to make progress! Yep, today is one of those days. I admit none of the things are confirmed yet, however:
1. I forgot that when I remortgage, there might be a broker fee of £295. I have Emailed them to ask if they can claim it back through my bank since I'm an existing customer, and my friends broker does it.
2. I live in a flat where apparently the maintenance company have taken more money then they should from some of the residents. They say we have had letters for a deficit in 2018 (9 months in 2019 and they only took the site over late last year) - no one seems to have this letter. An extra £200 each. I hope this is incorrect!
3. My oil light flashed up on my car but went straight off again. Let the car cool down before checking the oil level but I can't open the bonnet so will have to wait till tomorrow. I have oil already if I need it. Ok I know this might not cost me anything but I ended up eating my feelings with the pizza I had bought for Saturday :rotfl:
Sorry for the vent!! If I need to pay another £495 this year, that's my first debt target out the window, and the money saved for my car service and ground rent in January eaten in to, if not gone.
Otherwise I could be getting overstressed about nothing. We will see.0 -

YES! Exactly me. I had a bit of a !!!! weekend with money and am trying to mitigate it, but some days i just stare at the spreadsheet and hate myself because I'm not doing things quick enough, then other days I look and think yay me, I've done so well! The first six months whilst I was getting some cash behind e for unexpected expenses was the hardest.

Sometimes it feels like 2 steps forward and 4 backwards but think of all the debt you'd have if you hadn't started tackling it.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I also get the why does 'Y' earn less than me but live better, i used to get annoyed then recently started using this as a motivation that one day that would be me if I could resolve my debt / budget issues. Although it is easy to get downbeat.
We all have Meh days as well, try not let that one crap day ruin you mojo...pizza fixes them days
Keep up the good work0 -

Hi Coffee!
Thanks! I'm really proud of how much I've paid off since starting this diary, but then the next minute I'm telling myself I'm not making enough progress and people want to take my money! I almost want January to hurry up so I can start my new SOA, but I don't want to wish my life away!0 -

This is true. I haven't used credit or gone into my overdraft for months, so at least I'm not making it worse and the payments I'm making are actually bringing debt down.0
