You will find (if my memory serves me correctly from the days of having the same meter) that one should say IMP (with other writing next to it) This is the one you want, as in importing from the network instead of exporting.0

Dose this mean if I had of said yes that they would of fitted a differnet meter that they control the meter reading them selfs and therfore of been able to fraud the readings?0 -

No, they just use a single design of meter to "control the meter reading" in order to "fraud the readings". They do this in order to protect themselves against smartarses who think they can get away with theft by refusing to pay for the energy they use.0 -

To help you recognise when your reading is being shown, at the same time your reading is displayed, you will also see the text "kW" displayed on the bottom right.
I sometimes find the decimal point hard to see, so perhaps record a video while you use your meter, then play it back at your own convenience. This will let you examine the display at your own leisure to identify the reading.
Once you realise that the reading is displayed straight after "IMP KWH", you will learn to have your pencil and paper ready.
It's a shame that these "smart" meters are so unfriendly, enough so that people need to make instructional videos to help other people read their own meter. It should be a case of either simply going to the meter and reading the display with no interaction, or the reading is immediately shown when the "READING" button is pressed. But instead they over complicate things and expect people to learn themselves.0 -
LOL - Don't bring me or my posts into your conspiracy theories.0

Many occupiers do though as I catch many who have bypassed the meters. Smart meters have security built into them which alert suppliers by sending off info back to the supplier if anyone has breached or even attempted to breach and bypass the electric meter and if they try and substituted the smart gas meter.0 -
