Possible BA strike

If british airways staff go on strike what are my options as I have a flight bookend of August coming back first week September from Gatwick to Malta will they transfer booking to another airline or cancel altogether I have hotel booking separately but its not a flight but operates every day and I'm in business class as I used avios to book

    They have to give 14 days notice of a strike so you'll know mid-August. They would be obliged to rebook on first available flights or offer the chance of cancellation. At this time of year there is unlikely to be enough capacity to transfer all affected passengers to other airlines so if you want to keep your dates then it may be best if you get an idea of availability of flights on other airlines and make sure you're the first on the phone if and when the cancellation is announced.

    On the up side, if I had anyway of avoiding to go to Malta, I would use it.
