So here the weekend update- Sunday morning, and I have spend absolutely nothing this weekend! Not even 1p. The food is all planned out for the week and my fuel has lasted with top up due tomorrow morning.
Last night was good, I did go out, and luckily as my friend was the ‘guest’ for the night we had the entire evening free.
I have been slightly slow on sorting the eBay stuff out, but to be honest, I really needed a weekend to just chill out and do nothing.
I’m picking my son up at 5, will then get the ALDI extra large chicken in the oven. My plan (fingers crossed) Is for the chicken to stretch to 3 meals. Roast tonight, coronation chicken to go with a salad for my work lunch Monday and Tuesday and also to be used for a chicken stir fry for Monday evenings dinner.
I will do a proper round up of last week and plan for the week tomorrow when I get to my laptop.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend, I’ve been over whelmed by the level of support you’ve all given. I’m so glad to have found this forum and have you lovely people to support me on this journey! XxMy debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0 -
Hi! Sounds like you’ve got a great plan to deal with this debt. The interest rate on the loan is criminal they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it!
Best of luck to you on your journey:beer:

You'll get lots of meat from an extra large chicken. Are you going to make stock as well?Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Thanks Splish! You are right, it really is, but I’m hoping that this will really teach me a lesson to make sure I don’t do it again.
I should count myself lucky, as I do have the means to repay. I’m sure there are many people with these stupid loans with the stress of having no idea how they are going to repay! Really shouldn’t be allowed! My debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0 -
Hi Tonisfriend I hope you’ve had a good weekend!
I am, after your suggestion thank you!
I also brought 1kg of 5% mince, and portioned it into bags and have frozen them. I always try and eat well and track my meals etc calorie wise, so only really use 100grams per meal, the rest I bulk out with veg. By doing it This way I’m hoping to stretch the mince out for a couple of weeks! My debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0 -

Good Morning
So we have a fresh week ahead of us, and i have to say im feeling quite pleased with myself.
Ive had a lovely weekend, and spent absolutely nothing, this is so unlike me, in fact apart from when ive been ill i cannot remember a time that i have ever done this. I love eating out, and especially if i havn't got loads of plans, i would of always gone for some food or a drink etc.
The plan for this week, is going to be much of the same. Im only working Monday to Wednesday, as its my Grandmas funeral on Thursday so taken the rest of the week off.
I need to make sure that i stick to the meal plan, and not top up or buy unnecessary things because im off. The extra large chicken worked like a treat, plenty of meat to stretch to 3 meals and 3 lunches - was a mini win for me!
This morning ive already topped up with my £40 of fuel. Last week this lasted me, and so this week there should be no issues especially as im not working Thursday and Friday, so no commute. Might be able to roll some of it over to the following week.
I need to try and work on generating some extra income, but just finding it hard to concentrate whilst trying to do all the funeral planning with my family too. I figured that as long as im sticking to my budget, that actually i dont need to be too hard on myself this week. I do have the airport car park to pay for, and so i wanted to generate some extra to cover that, however, i havnt actually spent my entertainment budget at all yet so im not too worried.
I am really looking forward to pay day, just so i can start paying some money into that loan and sense test that my budget and pots ive set up will work. Plan is, £50 to EF, minimum payment to CC1 £41 CC2 £17 and paypal £8, set payment to CC3 £50. Everything else spare i think it will be about £200 if it works out right, will be thrown at the b&%$!y loan!
Does that sound about right to everyone? any input greatly appreciated as always!

Just throwing out a quick question in case anyone knows the answer, CC1 and CC2 are capital one and vanquis (both owned overall by capital one) do you think it would be worth calling them up to see if i could transfer the balance on to one card and see if they can do anything with the interest? i dont know any thing about credit cards so dont even know if this is possible! due to my credit rating i know it wont be possible to find a 0% so thought this could be the next best thing?!My debt free journey, diary and all!
