Happy Birthday Butterfly, hope you feel better soon
  • A quick pop back to wish BUTTERFLY a very happy birthday and say grr to the nasty bug making you feel poorly.

Me and the girls are keeping indoors today. Too hot for playing/sitting outside in this heat. It was lovely wandering slowly down the chiller and freezer aisles in Aldi this morning. Normally I whizz through them as quickly as I can!

The usual Thursday pasta bake for tea. The Bolognese was made last night and kept o/n in the fridge to avoid too much heat in the kitchen today!

Take care folks and if you have no hot water bottles to freeze those who know these things said we can fill plastic bottles with water and freeze those instead! I draw the line at putting the duvet in the freezer as one "expert" suggested!! xx

Happy Birthday Butterfly, & hope you feel better soon x

More swimming watching DGD this morning, luckily the viewing area wasn't quite as hot today but still sauna like, but then again so is the back garden.I cooled Ly1a down with the hosepipe earlier- she wasnt happy but I'm sure she must be cooler.I feel very sorry for DH working outside in this, heaving flags about.DS2 has finished early and now he and DGD have gone to Chill Factor,at least they'll be cool for a while anyway .
Can't decide what to have for tea,but I've just had a morries delivery so I'm sure I'll sort something out.
Hope tonight is cooler for you all x
