Urgent - VCS county court claim

What is the judgement, does this mean you have to pay? How much?
The "judgement" is the order from the court on the out come of the Claim
In this case it's a judgement in default
Which means the Claimant has won because the defendant defaulted by not complying with the process and submitting a defence within the time allowed
And it does have to be paid (unless there are grounds to get a set aside, though there don't appear to be any here)
It will be for the full amount of the claim0 -
Subhuman, you are not alone.
lloydie.t has reported the same thing - same day too:

So frustrating!
Especially all the time you devote to giving newbies chapter and verse on when they must get their defence in by - to the actual time!
To say nothing about all the time and effort newbies get from the forum to assist them through the process right through to a hearing!0 -
Contact the CCBC and complain due to them receiving the claim with an emailed acknowledgement back to you
This is why KeithP tells people not to leave it until the last minute0 -
Problem is that the OP's own electronic "proof of posting" confirms it was sent late (#19 above)0

Note sure if this helps.

Please note that the defendant can still reply to your claim until the court has processed your request. If the defendant’s reply is late but arrives before or even on the same day as your request, it will have priority. It is your responsibility as a claimant to make sure you enter the right type of judgment. If you do not do so this may lead to the judgment being set aside.0 -
Update for you all.
Out of the blue this morning received a letter from the CCBC apologising for any 'distress caused'
It turns out my defence was received but not fully processed. As such the case has now been referred to a district judge for directions.0 -
And lloydie.t has reported the same. Keep up to date by following each other's threads.0
