Pretty sure the OFT says that if sales have fallen through EA have to find out why and tell buyers.0

Book another viewing under a false name. Insist you have never met the EA before when shown around. Perhaps get a new French accent or something a bit spicy. Offer 20k under your last offer.
But really, that is annoying- dodged a bullet. I know you have wasted time and money but some times people do this almost at exchange (or day of exchange). Better not to happen at all, but hopefully thats one dose of bad fortune you are no longer owed. I wont say there wont be more as everyone seems to be owed a few house buying/selling!0 -

They might not be right of course.0 -
I dont think that sounds like its about personal circumstances of the seller, though. More about the house. Eg if multiple sales fall through because surveys keep showing up an issue no one is happy to deal with- buyer must inform potential seller. I cant see you would be entitled to know that the seller didnt trust you/their cat died/they decide they need more money.0

Like I said above, it's about information concerning the property. So if e.g. a potential buyer pulled out because of something adverse thrown up in a survey, that might have to be disclosed (assuming the EA knew about it).From the Home owners alliance site...

Apart from anything else, the vendor acting oddly in one negotiation is no evidence that they'll do it again.

We lost a number of properties when sales went awry in the Crash, and one was definitely better than what we have now in terms of the physical elements.
However, one never knows what non-physical things, like new relationships, will come with a location, or what life events will befall us because we live here rather than there. Those may well be more important than the bricks and mortar we purchase.0
