I don't know who you are working for but I suspect they may have told you porkies. All your German employer needs to pay your salary into a German bank account is an IBAN (used to be BLZ and Kontonummer in years gone by) . An IBAN is simply a code identifying your account, similar to sort code + account number in the UK. try opening a starling account i believe they report on equifax and transunion

Yes that easy, as mentioned all you need is the sort code and account number, just make sure they are correct.0
